The Vibe: India Host is a warm Indian restaurant with an open floor plan. They have a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes it an optimal spot for dining with groups or with a large family. They additionally have private dining rooms on the 2nd and 3rd levels which come complete with a full bar and DJ booth to accommodate large banquets, parties and corporate events. Indian Host has a mix of tourists and locals and is more casual dining than fine dining. Their menu is predominately drawn from traditional Northern Indian cuisine and the chef uses fresh ground spices and high quality ingredients in all the dishes.

What To Eat: The menu is diverse, and has options that are both familiar and unfamiliar. One of the more unusual appetizers is the Bhutta Kabab which is a corn, cheese and fresh herb fritter. It’s deep fried yet remains light and crispy. They also have more than a few Tandoori offerings such as their well executed traditional Tandori Chicken and the Chicken Malai Kabab which is a tender and smokey yogurt marinated chicken. For vegetarians we recommend the Paneer Lavabdar, which consists of cubes of cheese swimming in delicate sweet and spicy tomato gravy. The Whole Wheat Laccha Paranthai is amazingly moist and flakey and is magical when paired with the Goan Fish Curry which is a luxurious curry with an intense depth of flavor. The Mutton Rogan Josh is another delightful signature curry made from Kashmini masala and saffron. End your meal with a steaming hot cup of Masala Chi Tea and a cool and refreshing order of Kulfi, a rich and creamy milk-reduction ice cream with pistachio nuts that tastes like caramel.

Insider Insight: There are more than a few good reasons to visit Indian Host, and the cuisine is enough to put it at the top of your list. Although they like to promote themselves as fine dining, it’s a bit too dated to fall into that category. Additionally the prices are very reasonable, and two people can easily eat for under 1000 Baht. The service is very attentive and overall Indian Host has got a very family friendly atmosphere. You can also get their food delivered by several delivery services if you find it more convenient.
