The Vibe: Located on the 30th floor of the Millennium Hilton, Prime is a stylish American style steakhouse on the Chao Phraya River. It boasts panoramic river views, an open concept kitchen, infinity sinks in the restrooms and a mind boggling wine list of more than 350 varieties that you can casually browse on a tableside I-pad. Prime is trendy and modern with an unpretentious vibe and sleek Asian inspired design aesthetics. It has several wood burning ovens that impart a distinctive smoky flavor to their meat and they offer USDA Grain Feed Beef as well as Australian beef, Wagyu and veal in addition to seafood. They attract an upscale and cosmopolitan clientele and will appeal to romantic diners celebrating a special occasion.

What To Eat & Drink: Start your meal off with a fruity Mango Martini which is presented with lots of dramatic flair, and enjoy a tableside preparation of the signature Caesar Salad which is made to your personal specifications. Follow that with a glass of Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Chardonnay, 2011 from California paired with the delicate Cream of Mushroom Soup and sweet and tender Pan Roasted Alaskan Sea Scallop with Black Truffle. Another must try is the Beef Tartare which is one of the best you will find in Bangkok. This brilliant dish is also served tableside and it is perfectly balanced so that you still taste the beef without it being overwhelmed by the ingredients. For the main course you can’t go wrong with the Fillet Mignon. It is tender and flavorful and is elevated when served with Sautéed Mushrooms and Bordelaise Red Wine Sauce. All guests are additionally treated to a tasty selection of vegetable and potato side dishes that go well with the steak dinner.

Insider Insight: The service is always exceptional at Prime, and its stunning location truly makes you feel like a VIP. Prime is one of the top steakhouses in Bangkok because of a winning combination of world class wines, delectable cuisine, fabulous service and intoxicating views. In addition to steak they have plenty of seafood options and every time we go here, the steaks are cooked to perfection. Prime is expensive and you should plan to spend 2000 – 3000Baht a person with wine. Another nice tip is to be sure to head to the Three Sixty Bar before or after dinner for one of the best views on the river.
